From the Superintendent

Spring has sprung, and with it comes the sense of possibilities, growth and change.

One change that we are extremely excited about is the  district’s decision to expand full-day kindergarten programs to all of our elementary schools. The state currently provides funding for full-day kindergarten in two of our eight elementary schools—based on socioeconomic factors—so providing full-day opportunities for all of our kindergartners will be possible using the district’s undesignated, unreserved ending fund balance for start-up costs.  We know the full-day program will provide an excellent foundation for students to learn
and grow.
