From the superintendent

kirschDear Longview community,

I am very pleased to be serving the Longview community during the coming year as interim superintendent of schools.

The hard work of the school staff will be honored and encouraged throughout the year, and the good efforts for student achievement that are underway will continue.

I will be out and about the district cheering on our employees and our students. There is much to cheer about in Longview! This is a community that stands behind its schools, and the teachers and support staff members are deeply dedicated to our young people.

For the coming school year, no new undertakings are planned; this will be a year of stability as the Board of Directors conducts its search for a superintendent.

In the interim, I will listen, support and help sustain a healthy school district that accomplishes its vision: Ready to learn; Ready for life; Together we aspire and achieve.

I am here to serve and will maintain an open door policy. Please do not hesitate to e-mail me at, call me at 360-575-7016, or make arrangements to visit me in person!

Sincerely yours,
Dr. Greg Kirsch
