The role of the Longview School District Communications Office

Longview Public Schools want to provide the community with broad information about education of its children.

Schools send home a wide variety of printed information for parents throughout the school year, and this website provides additional information about the district and its schools. Because an increasing amount of information is being shared via e-mail and the Internet, the district is actively developing those communications efforts.

The district realizes that the community uses the local radio stations and newspaper, so works with local media companies to share information.

Just distributing information isn't enough. The district values back-and-forth conversations about the issues surrounding education today, and it is committed to the best possible customer service throughout the district.

Interested in sending a flyer home with our elementary children?
Not-for-profit agencies and organizations can request that their promotional flyers be sent home with elementary children. Board policy 4060 outlines specific limitations. More information is available from Barb Jewell at 575-7019.
