ACTIVITIES/INFORMATION (SCHOOL RELATED)

The next Science Club Meeting will be after school today in room D-4.  We will be making a model lung with a working diaphragm. Come join the fun.

Spring sports begin on February 29th.   There will be player meetings for the following sports this week after school in the LGIC:  Girls’ Tennis – 2/10 at 2:30, Fastpitch – 2/11.  Make sure your paperwork is turned in to Mrs. Bryant in the Activities Office. 

NOTES FROM THE GUIDANCE OFFICE & CAREER CENTER

The ASVAB Career Exploration Test will be held at Mark Morris on Saturday, February 27th from 8-11:30am.  Sign up in the Career Center by Monday, February 22nd.   

Seniors:  If you will need financial aid to attend college and have not submitted a FAFSA, you should do so as soon as possible.  See Mrs. Peters in the Career Center for more information. 

Mark Morris currently has 53 scholarships available to seniors.  There are also a few scholarships for juniors. Check out the list in the Career Center or on the Mark Morris website, listed under the “students” tab. 

TRiO Educational Talent Search Tutoring/College help is Thursdays from 2:30 - 3:30 in the Mark Morris Career Center.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPTIONS

Community service opportunity:  Kelso Senior Center is looking for high school students to help senior citizens learn how to use Facebook and Twitter.  This class will be on Wednesday, February 17th at 1:30pm.  Students will earn 2 community service hours.  Sign up in the Career Center.

ACTIVITIES/INFORMATION (NON-SCHOOL RELATED)

Registration is now open for Longview Girls’ Softball.  You can register online at www.lgsawa.com or contact Phil at (360)270-4874.  

Kelso High School Class of 2019 is hosting a 5 on 5 dodgeball tournament on February 17th.  Cost is $25 per team.  For more information, contact Rachel Lowery @ rachel.lowery@kelsosd.org.
